Online. Breastfeeding made easy. Breastfeeding preparation during pregnancy
Online
2.5 hour workshop
including handout
Few things are as exciting as your first child, your first birth, becoming a mother for the first time, becoming a parent, the first cuddle, the first breastfeeding, the responsibility for a tiny life. And hardly anything else is fraught with so many myths, misinformation, too much pressure, too little knowledge, and uncertainty. "Breastfeeding is instinct, it'll all work out!" is the first misconception that's easy to fall for. Breastfeeding is a skill learned through observation, a ingrained habit. A new breastfeeding relationship is a delicate plant that needs nurturing and care, and it's sensitive and easily disrupted. "You're only allowed to breastfeed every 3 hours!", "Just supplement with formula!", "You probably don't have enough milk!", "Your baby isn't getting enough!", "It has to learn to sleep alone from the very beginning!", "Don't spoil it too much!" STOP! In my breastfeeding preparation course, we debunk all these myths. I'll show you how to create a breastfeeding-friendly environment. What's especially important...and what isn't. How you can tell if your baby is full, when they're hungry, or simply needs closeness. I'll show you how your partner can also feed your baby and what an important role they play in a successful breastfeeding relationship. So please feel free to register as a couple. Knowledge is the key to a confident, self-determined, and needs-based start to your breastfeeding journey.
The course takes place via Zoom. Reimbursement by health insurance is possible. (Many insurers reimburse the costs retroactively from their pregnancy benefits budget. Please check directly with your insurer.)
