What is hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing is a holistic method of mental preparation for childbirth. It is based on the understanding that your body is designed for birth – and that you can learn to trust it. Through targeted relaxation, breathing, and visualization techniques, you learn how to connect with your body and your baby, release fears, and align your subconscious mind for a positive birth experience.
In my course, I will guide you in building a safe inner world for birth – a place of peace and strength that you can access at any time during labor. You will be surprised how much strength and self-confidence you already possess.
Course content – what you can expect:
•Understanding the birth process: How does a natural birth work? What does the body need to function properly?
•Breathing techniques for every stage of labor: Practical tools that will help you stay focused and calm even during contractions.
•Deep relaxation & self-hypnosis: Exercises to help you regulate your nervous system and build inner security.
•Positive affirmations & visualizations: Strengthening your mental focus for a self-determined birth.
•Bonding with the baby: Gentle exercises that strengthen the prenatal connection to your child – a valuable anchor for the birth.
•Birth support & partner role: How your companion can meaningfully and supportively accompany you during childbirth.
•Resolving fears, building trust: Trauma-sensitive space for individual questions, concerns and birth stories.
Who is the course suitable for?
This course is for pregnant women who desire a conscious, mindful, and self-determined birth – regardless of whether it's their first birth or they have previous birth experience. Even after a difficult or traumatic birth, hypnobirthing can help to regain courage and experience the upcoming birth with a different inner attitude.
Why me?
I am a pediatric nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (Level 1) at Charité Hospital, trained in integrative, attachment-based trauma therapy for infants, toddlers, and mothers – and myself a mother of a daughter and a stillborn child. I combine expertise, lived experience, and a great deal of passion in my work. My HypnoBirthing course is more than a childbirth preparation course – it is a space for you and your baby. A space to arrive, let go, grow, and draw strength.
Course format & procedure:
• 4 sessions of 2.5 hours each (including short breaks and time for discussion)
•in a small, protected group (max. 6 women)
• Includes workbook, audio files for home use, and handouts for birth attendants.
