Motherblessing

Hanover, Hanover Region, Lower Saxony, Germany

Together we celebrate your pregnancy, the little miracle growing inside you, and the transition from woman to mother. Sharing joy in a circle, telling stories, laughing, manifesting wishes, inspiring one another, celebrating you, connecting with your child, and preparing for the upcoming birth.

A Mother Blessing is an empowering experience that strengthens and weaves your support network. During the preparation, you draw from a wealth of ideas, choosing what feels right and resonates with you. From then on, I take over the organization and design of your Mother Blessing, allowing you to fully concentrate on enjoying and experiencing it. Your own ideas are, of course, always welcome. Often, a circle of friends actively participates in shaping the blessing. Traditionally, a Mother Blessing celebrates the mother in a circle of women—friends, sisters, mother, grandmother, and so on. It's also possible to create a wonderful ritual for a couple expecting their first child. In any case, it's a truly individual and personal experience of preparing for your birth.

You are welcome at any stage of your pregnancy.

My name is Anika and I live with my family in Hannover Limmer.
I support expectant parents, as well as single mothers, LGBTQ+ individuals, and rainbow families during pregnancy and childbirth. If you'd like my support on your birth journey, let's get to know each other! Together, we can discuss your wishes and how I can best support you.
Supporting families as a doula is also connected to my own journey. The moment my own son was born changed my life; my pregnancy and birth changed me as a woman. I myself would have wished for support.

Information, trust, and intuition are essential pillars for me in a self-determined pregnancy and birth. I want to empower the families I support in precisely these areas. Because it's important that parents experience a pregnancy in which they receive the support they need.
Because it matters how our children are born and how we give birth. And because the birth of a child represents a turning point in the life of the family into which it is born.
From my own experience, I know that pregnancy and childbirth can have difficult phases. And that can sometimes feel hard, and it needs recognition and space. That's what I want to provide in my support. A space where everything is allowed.
I work at Kaiserschnittstelle Hannover, a counselling centre for traumatic births where I am actively involved and support families who have had traumatic experiences during pregnancy and childbirth.
With my son by my side, I am also the mother of two angel babies. For this reason, I offer targeted birth preparation for those who have experienced loss. I also offer regular support group meetings for bereaved mothers at Leere Wiege Hannover (Empty Cradle Hanover).
I am also a certified nutritional therapist and can answer your questions about nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Of course, I am also available to answer your questions about introducing solid foods to your baby.
