In everyday family life, situations often arise where we parents can no longer react as we would like. We feel overwhelmed, perhaps even powerless or helpless, unsure of what to do next, and stressed. In addition, external challenges often arise: for example, the opinions of family and friends, societal norms, and numerous, sometimes very different, parenting advisors. It is therefore not surprising that parents are repeatedly left feeling insecure and that it is sometimes not so easy to live up to their own wishes and expectations.
My passion is to accompany each family on their unique journey. A key aspect of this is discussing your parenting goals and working together to find ways to achieve them in a way that is as child- and family-friendly as possible. My approach isn't about giving "the right tips" or acting as a "guide." Instead, I want to understand each individual's current needs, identify shared goals and desires, contribute my knowledge of child development, and perhaps work together to uncover the root causes of conflicts and how they can be resolved or improved (often related to our own childhood experiences). There is no single right way, no single "right way" to parent – every family must discover what works for them and feels right. This is precisely where support and guidance can be invaluable.
I live a very attachment-oriented and undogmatic life. A respectful and appreciative approach to relationships is especially important to me. I also strive to maintain a balance between trusting my own intuition and being well-informed in order to make sound decisions (insights from research on attachment, child development, brain research, etc.).
