After the months of exclusively breastfeeding, the time for solid food eventually arrives. You'll learn how to recognize when the right time for complementary feeding is and become familiar with the purée method and baby-led weaning, including their respective advantages and disadvantages, to help you confidently decide how your baby should be introduced to solid foods.
Suitable foods, unsuitable foods, and foods with limited suitability will be discussed. Expected portion sizes will be considered. Furthermore, important topics such as iron intake, allergies, and choking/floating will be addressed. You will learn practical, classic baby food recipes, as well as how to introduce your baby to family meals from the very beginning.
My advice is based on the principle that complementary foods are complementary foods, not replacement foods. Complementary foods are offered in addition to milk, not as a replacement for it.
