Bianca Limbach

Who is this Bianca Limbach?

As a small child, a very famous pop star (Martin Jackson) seemed to me like someone with an incredible amount of money. Back then, in the 80s and 90s, issues like the greenhouse effect, CFCs, and the deforestation of the rainforest in Brazil were very much on my mind.

My thought process: Why doesn't this pop star buy the entire rainforest and put it under protection? As a child, that was easy for me to do – unfortunately, he didn't.

After secondary school and university entrance qualification, I completed a voluntary ecological year in Hanover.
Then studies in Berlin, graduating with a diploma in pedagogy and an additional subject in environmental management.

In addition, there was a model project called "The Sustainable Film View", where we, as students, filmed commercials for sustainability under guidance.
Which year, you ask? From 2001 to 2003.

Why this career path?
My idea was that if people knew enough about environmental protection and animal welfare, they would change their behavior. Back then, that usually meant: You shouldn't/aren't allowed to do or buy that anymore. Saving here, buying less there, doing without there – doesn't sound so great.

Similar to smoking or sugar: it's unhealthy, everyone knows that, yet they still smoke and eat it.

What is still possible?
Best news: A lot has changed and there are many good sustainable alternatives.

As the saying goes: Every little bit helps.
Small changes in everyday life have a big effect. And when many people do it, this effect becomes even greater.

Individual actions or products may not change the world immediately.
Phew, so much responsibility – who wants that?
But your attitude and your convictions, which guide your actions, purchases, or refrain from doing things, do.

Want to make money with sustainable products? That's possible too – just get in touch with me.

Best regards, Bianca
