Does your baby cry as soon as you put it down or it's in the stroller? Does it need a lot of closeness and do you need your hands free again?

Many babies feel the same way you do, and there's a simple reason for it: your baby's behavior is rooted in evolution. Babies are born to be carried. When they are born, their senses and instincts are still as they were in prehistoric times. Closeness, security, and being carried mean their survival is guaranteed. At first, they can barely see further than 20 cm and therefore no longer understand the world when they are pushed around in a stroller, far away from their primary caregiver.
Even their anatomy (the rounded back, the bent legs when lying down, the intervertebral discs, the grasping reflex, etc.) is designed for being carried. It is therefore perfectly natural that babies often don't feel comfortable in a stroller or left alone.
My name is Nina Bootsmann and I am a certified babywearing consultant from the Hamburg Babywearing School. I can help you find a suitable baby carrier/sling for you and your child, or learn one or more tying techniques.

My offer:
- Individual and couples counseling:
A brief introduction to your child's anatomy and the different baby carriers. I'll explain the benefits of babywearing, you'll learn various tying techniques, and you'll try out different carriers/slings. We'll practice first with a demonstration doll, and once you feel confident, we'll practice with your baby.

- Baby carrier check:
Your existing baby carrier will be adjusted correctly or optimized with tips and tricks.

- Carrier rental:
If you find a suitable baby carrier/sling with me, you can test it at your leisure for a deposit and rental fee.

- Sale:
You can order a new baby carrier/sling from several manufacturers through me. If you'd like to borrow a carrier/sling until it arrives, the rental fee/deposit will be deducted from the purchase price. Once your ordered carrier/sling arrives, we'll exchange it for the rental model.

The consultation usually takes place in my premises in 26789 Leer (Weststadt).
I can also come to your home upon request. This will incur additional travel costs of €0.50/km.
The price is €40 per hour for individual and couples counseling. An initial consultation usually lasts 1.5 hours.
Breastfeeding/feeding and diaper changing breaks are of course included and are not counted.
